GRP Anti-Slip Stair Treads

How are GRP Treads manufactured?

Fibex GRP Anti-Slip Stair Treads and Stair Nosing are manufactured out of lightweight, corrosion-resistant Glass Reinforced Plastic (Fibreglass).

The top surfaces of the GRP stair tread and GRP stair nosing are made up of silicon carbide grit. The GRP stair tread’s integral angular quartz gritted surface has been tested and certified under BS 7976-2.

Why are GRP stair treads and GRP stair nosing better than traditional materials?

Fibex GRP anti-slip tread covers, GRP stair nosing and GRP stair tread provide a remarkable level of slip resistance over a long period of time, outperforming both aluminium and rubber materials in terms of slip resistance.

Why are anti-slip stair treads and GRP stair nosing ideal for preventing accidents and falls?

Step edging is the leading cause of trips and falls on stairs. The underfoot grip provided by Fibex GRP Anti-Slip Stair Treads and GRP Stair Nosing makes them an ideal solution for providing stairwell safety.

Rather than changing the original aesthetic of slippery surfaces, GRP stair nosing and GRP stair treads can be applied to wood, metal and steel without altering their functionality.
